dignity® Practice System
How do we develop the capacity to participate differently?
Knowing what matters is not always enough to put it into practice. We may not have had role models for what dignity looks like in everyday life. We may not know what to notice, what to question or restore, or how our actions affect others and the systems around us. And when our capacity or bandwidth is stretched, even what we already know can become difficult to see and act upon.
The dignity® Practice System offers reflective tools to help us develop a shared language, see more clearly, recognise capacity and bandwidth, and support one another in making more conscious choices. Designed for use individually and together, the tools can support practice across families, teams, organisations and communities.
The practice begins with orientation: learning to see what is true, what we may not yet see, and our place within it. From there, we learn to navigate with greater courage, patience, equanimity and trust; restore what has been disrupted through compassion, forgiveness, justice and responsibility; and regenerate our capacity for love, creativity, generosity, joy and vitality.
